British Wool - Shearing Update

Despite the restrictions, British Wool were able to deliver a successful 2021 shearing training season, with nearly 800 trainees taking advantage of the scheme. However this would not be possible without our host farms and instructors, we would like to extend our gratitude for their continued support.

Moving forward to 2023, British Wool are looking to develop a new seal level above Gold to keep up with the ability of the more experienced shearers and the way UK shearing is heading. All this should help the industry and the professional UK shearer who travels the world and shearers from overseas traveling to the UK - all this ensures shearing keeps moving forward at all levels.

We are currently in the process of building our courses for the 2022 season, including establishing a new booking system on our website which will be released in early March. Please keep an eye on our social media for release dates.

We are looking forward to having another successful training and shearing season in 2022.
