British Wool 2022 shearing training courses go live
Following the successful return of British Wool training courses in 2021, British Wool has launched the 2022 Shearing & Wool Handling courses this week.
For over 20 years British Wool have provided four stages of shearing certificates enabling UK shearers to safely and effectively shear British wool. Training the next generation of shearers and wool handlers remains a key focus for British Wool with over 850 attending courses in 2021.Those booking courses will be done using British Wool’s new online system that is easier to use and navigate.
As in previous years, British Wool launched its exclusive training offer for young farmers in January providing an opportunity for YFC members who have not previously attended a British Wool course to work towards a Blue Seal. Any interested YFC member should make contact before the 31st March closing date.
Richard Schofield, Shearing Manager, British Wool, said: “We are once again delighted to be launching our shearing and wool handling courses this year. Supporting the training and development of the next generation of shearers and wool handlers is crucial as we continue to work in partnership with key stakeholders in supporting the UK shearing sector.”
