Social Media

Social media is a great cost-effective way for us to communicate to consumers.

The main aims of our social media channels are to:

  • Create awareness of the British Wool brand
  • Drive sales to the British Wool Shop
  • Promote our licensees brand and products
  • Educate consumers on farming matters

Our most important channel is Facebook with almost 100,000 followers. We are also active across Instagram, Twitter and Pinterest.

This range of channels allow us to target different consumers especially in terms of age demographics.

Over the last year we launched new social media channels on TikTok in the UK and Instagram in Japan. One of our first posts on TikTok went viral gaining over 1.1 million views! Channels such as TikTok help us to educate younger consumers about the benefits of buying products made from British wool.

British Wool Shop

British Wool’s on-line shop (britishwool.org.uk/shop) continues to grow and we are now selling products from 21 of our licensee partners.
